A Friend's Ride
Against Cancer

My friend would be 27 years old this year - a husband and a father of his little angel. Early on June 16, 2007, Mike finished his fight with cancer. It didn't win, he simply became perfect as he went to be with his God.

For me, the fight goes on. When Mike died I commited to each year riding at least one charity ride raising money to fight cancer. In 2007, I was excited to raise $3000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the Greenville Hospital Oncology Research Institute.

This year I have set my goal much higher. My fund rasing goal is to raise over $5000 dollars for the LAF and the GHS Oncology Research Institute. My riding challenge is to participate in a Greenville, SC to Austin, TX cycling relay.
